CREW LUXEMBOURG operates as a fiduciary and accounting service provider subject to several legal and regulatory obligations, including:

  • The Law of 10 July 2020 establishing the Register of Fiduciary Contracts and Trusts, which requires the collection and maintenance of information on beneficial owners (UBOs).
  • The Law of 12 November 2004 on the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing (AML/KYC), which defines client due diligence and record-keeping obligations.
  • The Law of 1 August 2018 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, implementing the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
  • The Law of 10 June 1999 regulating the profession of chartered accountants, which sets the legal framework, professional requirements, ethical standards, and oversight for accounting professionals in Luxembourg.


CREW LUXEMBOURG is required to retain certain records and documentation for a minimum of five years after the termination of a business relationship, in accordance with these laws.


It cooperates, where applicable, with the competent authorities, including the CSSF (Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier), the CRF (Financial Intelligence Unit), and the CNPD (Data Protection Authority).
